Self Care for Creatives

Happy Friday Friends we made it another week together (Insert Happy Dance ) ! As the weekend is upon us I cant help to think about all the work that I can get done this weekend uninterrupted but at the same time I am thinking about all the rest that I really need because being completely honest with you I am exhausted . After launching not only this site but the conference I think its time for some down time . What does your weekend normally look like ? Is it catching up on work you feel behind on this week, writing blogs , planning out your photo shoots ?

I know as creatives & entrepreneurs running our own business sometimes we don’t take the time to take care of ourselves but we need to . Our business can only run if we are taking the time to take care of ourselves, so today my friends it’s Friday we need to clock out at 5:00 and pour ourselves a glass of champs, turn on your tv and put your feet up and relax . Take the time to celebrate your success and your failures and just take a deep breath . We are amazing entrepreneurs and that is not easy running a business takes a lot of your time and your body suffers and sometimes so does your family . Remember your why today why you decided to start your own business. What makes you happy about running your own business and if anything what would you change. For me that’s more downtime more family time and of course time for self care .

I want you to take a moment and write down a list of five things you can do for yourself to help promote your best self care, that could be anything from getting a massage to reading a book or taking a run . Whatever that is I want you to at least try to check three things off your list this weekend . Self care is just as important as running your business remember your business is only 100% if your . Take sometime for your self and enjoy .
